I have a degree in civil engineering, an MBA, an MSc in ergonomics, an MSc in
environment, and professional qualifications in environmental and greenhouse gas
management. I’ve also studied social sciences and other things along the way. After
an earlier career doing other stuff, I’ve been working as an environmental and
climate professional for over 30 years working on many issues.. At last count I’ve
worked in twenty-nine countries for governments and many industries. My many
interests include, beer, animals, nature, travel, comedy and music – from classical to
rock and jazz.. Since 1999 I’ve lived in Western Australia and helped raise a family –
the best thing I’ve done.
I’ve spent my working life writing non-fiction reports, but working in the environmental
field and writing professionally about the dire state of the planet, can be a bit of a
downer. Then, while working away from home in New Zealand in 2019, I decided to
write something that was fun and entertaining as well as thought-provoking. The
Fossilarchy is the result – see my Blog. I hope you enjoy it.
